Vendor Development Junior – Build Strong Supplier Partnerships

Vendor Identification & On boarding

  • Research and identify new suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
  • Assist in on boarding new vendors, ensuring they meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Collect and maintain supplier documents, certifications, and contracts.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and lead times.
  • Help resolve delivery delays, quality issues, or pricing discrepancies.

Price Negotiation & Cost Optimization

  • Assist in negotiating prices and payment terms under guidance from senior team members.
  •  Compare quotes from different suppliers to get the best value for the company.
  • Work on cost-reduction initiatives by finding alternative suppliers or materials.

Procurement & Order Management

  • Assist in creating purchase orders (POs) and tracking their status.
  • Ensure that materials and components arrive on time for production needs.
  • Update internal databases with supplier information and purchase records.

Quality & Compliance Support

  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure vendor products meet standards.
  • Help track vendor performance, including delivery timelines, pricing consistency, and quality ratings.
  • Assist in audits and evaluations to ensure suppliers comply with company policies.

Market Research & Reporting

  • Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry developments.
  • Support in preparing reports on supplier performance and cost analysis.
  • Suggest improvements in procurement processes based on market research.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Basic knowledge of procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical mind-set with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, or procurement tools (a plus).
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • 0-2 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or a related role.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Work with CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.) to create 2D/3D models and technical drawings.
  • Conduct design calculations, feasibility studies, and material selection.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to modify and optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.
  • Support prototype development and testing.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations related to design projects.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, design standards, and emerging technologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software like Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, materials science, and thermodynamics.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
